Cinema 4D.4 Character

Cinema 4D.4 'Character' from John Brown on Vimeo.

In todays workshop we were learning how to create none geometrical objects ie. characters using cinema 4D but using one shape layer that is manipulated multiple times. The overall outcome is a very simplistic looking character that is in a plain scene with multiple lights and an animated camera that pans around the object.

The advantage of only using one layer means that you only have one hollow piece of work in your work space this makes it easier to make the character look more realistic if you were creating an actual dynamic object for a piece of work. it also helps with shadows and overall quality as you can't see any seams or edges like you would be able to do if you were creating something using multiple layers.
