Self Publication

 The self publication workshop began with an introduction to self facilitation, a method of visual transcription which involves 5 different steps. 1st element is finding the people then put them in a space or a place, three give them a process , four text to explain and five highlight with colour to signify importance.

Next we were asked to make notes on an information based presentation which we would after have to turn into a zine in order to present that information on a way that shows we also understood how to use self facilitation. The pictures at the top are two little action shots whilst I was creating the zine.

 The two bottom pictures are from the collaborative second part of the task where me and Abigail Lee (www.abigailleeblog.blogspot.com) produced a zine about how to make the perfect cup of tea. We wanted something that we could portray as a visual timeline as the zine gives the layout as a progressive theme. I really like the mix of typography and hand illustrations.

I really enjoyed learning about self facilitation as I think that I used some of the methods we discussed already but I just thought that I was a visual learner.
