Post production response
As a continuation on from the lecture about post production we we challenged to deconstruct image and type as a visual representation of post production, using layering, concealing. We were given image samples as a reference and a start point which was the base for our production. We had to work as a team of 4 to complete this task to bulk it out enough to have an outcome to present as a digital video or time lapse form. I have attached the video's of the digitally produced outcomes from Amy Haselden's blog as she published the work on her vimeo account.
Michael Mapes uses deconstruction in his composition of his collage style art, after the lecture we had I went to independently research further as I found the subject very interesting and this style is something I have used in my sense of place sketch book to present the photography in my primary research. I am really interested in the transcription of image through deconstruction as I think the effect of the collaborated images is fascinating. The way you can use lots of existing image and create something entirely new.
Below there are some still images the work we created and my favorite part in which we cut out the last word in the sentence which allowed use t over the lay image onto different words from other artists work I though it was a really fun and interactive way of producing work in this style because you can change it and the way it looks and the effect it has.
I really liked the psychedelic fusion part of the video as we constructed that still image by re drawing the background in the foreground , I think this has a really nice effect as it gives the image depth and perspective and the actual content ties in with the theme.
