John: Typography ANSEG

Organic Type construction

Using the reference we were provided transcribe the shapes to make letter forms or typographical shapes. lower case and upper case using the letter anseg.

As a keen enthusiast for hand typography this task was perfect for me I really enjoy making and developing text. My favorite idea was the A N at the top of the 2nd sheet, the inspiration for this text was a black white and red image that used arrows. I really like the rigidity and structure of the text its very bold and strong as the letter forms are quite weighty, I could see this being using in some kind of navigation or aviation based project.

The more organic and script like text on the left was another strong idea that I will take forward into development, I like the fluidity and liquid like appearance of the letter and how it doesn't follow any strict forms or shapes.
