"I need a logo for gym brand I'm starting up supplying clothing and supplements over in Holland, I quite like the idea of using a weight in the logo"
This is the final outcome of some freelance work I have been doing for a customer in Holland, My initial thoughts after I researched some existing logos are that red and black are used a lot in gyms and also in the design work surrounding them. The name I discussed with my customer because my idea of ' gaining aesthetic' is one of the reasons you go the the gym so the name has two meanings in a way. The design for the vector G came from a sketch my client did that I just refined in the style of the font that I used, it's the end of a weight bar which you would find in a gym. I think this is a small touch that is simple but effective I didn't want to be so literal as to put a picture of some gym equipment because I think that's too direct. I wanted the overall feel of the logo to be very geometric and shape like almost like it has influences from Bauhaus and that kind of style but with a different colour palette as I didn't think that primary colours were particularly appropriate for this piece of work
